Masonic Bar

Masonic Bar opens it's doors on Hope Street

A very special new cocktail lounge has opened it's (rather grand) doors on Hope Street this weekend. Just over the road from the Everyman Theatre, the old Masonic Hall has been transformed in to an opulent drinking den with a rather grand drinks list to match.

The interior makes best use of the lodge's original features including enormous windows overlooking the gorgeous Hope Street, stained glass and some of the original masonic carvings adorning the walls.

This is Gentleman's Club territory. Dark leather sofas, stained wood floors and intimate lighting are the backdrop to an enormous rectangular bar as the centrepiece.

If you heard the world 'cocktail lounge' and thought 'sex on the beach' then think again pal- these cocktails are expertly designed and created and completely unique. We were in dessert heaven with a strong and punchy Rhubarb and Custard martini but if you haven't got much of a sweet tooth you can get your savoury fix with a Port & Cheese Cocktail (with Wensleydale and a cracker on the side!). Can't decide which one to go for? They'll sort you out with an entire cocktail tasting menu.

Aside from the cocktails, Masonic Bar aims to feature feature a range of exclusive wines, beers and spirits sourced from around the world. Get yourself a drink, have a wander around the private rooms, cosy up on the couches and enjoy the atmosphere of one of Liverpool's most exclusive new bars.
