GINgle Bells at Novotel

When I heard Novotel's across the country had a new range of Christmas cocktails my cold little ears pricked up. Christmas? Oh yes. Cocktails? OH yes. Even better- all of them made with gin and part of the new (aptly named) GINgle Bells Christmas Range.

It will come as no surprise to you that I'm a hardened gin lover, so when the opportunity arose to come and try said cocktails we were down there faster than you can say ho, ho,ho.
First Up:

A smooth and creamy affair, this one features a good ol' glug of Whitney Neill Gin mixed with frothy egg whites. In the background (and around the rim, might I add) a fiery ginger hit. This one's not for the faint hearted.

Cranberry and Roasted Pine Nut
Undoubtedly my favourite of the festive trio, this fruity mix of  Gin Mare, cranberries, apples and lime tastes like Christmas Spirit in a glass. Herby, sweet and completely refreshing.

Mince Pie G&T
What do you get when you mix Sipsmith Gin, Cloudy pear juice, egg whites and mince pie syrup? A Mince Pie G&T, of course! Super sweet, frothy and cinnamon coated, this one's for the ultimate Yule- Tide lovers.

If you fancy a taste of the GINgle bells then get yourself down to Ropewalks at the Novotel (on Hardman St) between now and the end of December.
