Coming Soon to Liverpool

With the first signs of sunshine starting to peek through this week it's been all too easy to believe that summer is on it's way already. Well, and I truly am sorry to burst your bubble with this unwanted reality check, but its sadly still only February. There's a long way to go before those joyous summer months arrive, including some kind of awkward Brexit situation, an inevitably rainy Easter bank holiday, and the clocks rudely going forward an hour (shudder). It's good job we've got some cool new places opening in Liverpool to keep us going then, hey?

The Old Stables

Located at the end of a rather long and winding drive, the entrance to The Old Stables restaurant is every bit as grand as you'd expect for a restaurant located at a golf club.
It's tucked away in the leafy depths of Allerton, and if you didn't know it was there you'd probably never find it. Which, I think, gives the place a cool secret hideaway vibe (but can't be great for passing trade).

Sabrosa, Woolton

As we enter the second month of 2019 (can you believe?) I'm just about starting to make a dent in my 'to-eat' list i.e the restaurant edition of the Never Ending Story that's listed in the notes section on my phone. One of these places, and one I've been meaning to try for a while is Sabrosa, a fairly new and completely independent Spanish restaurant that has opened just outside of Woolton village.
