Coming Soon to Liverpool

With the first signs of sunshine starting to peek through this week it's been all too easy to believe that summer is on it's way already. Well, and I truly am sorry to burst your bubble with this unwanted reality check, but its sadly still only February. There's a long way to go before those joyous summer months arrive, including some kind of awkward Brexit situation, an inevitably rainy Easter bank holiday, and the clocks rudely going forward an hour (shudder). It's good job we've got some cool new places opening in Liverpool to keep us going then, hey?

Rosa's Thai Cafe
Coming: Open now!
And? This big London brand have opened their first ever place outside the capital in our gorgeous Royal Albert Docks. They're all about having a modern take on authentic Thai cooking which includes a few Thai-style cocktails, too. More info here.

Junkyard Golf
Coming: 22nd March
And? A first snoop at the soon to be open Junkyard Golf reveals a cacophony of neon, booze and bonkers golfing challenges. All of which, you may have noticed, is synonymous with our already-existing Ghetto Golf.  This one differs slightly in that there's an option of 3 different 9-hole courses to choose from including one with a haunted fairground type vibe and a jungle one that claims to take you on a journey through 'polluted tropical madness'. Watch this space.

Coming: April 2019
And?: If you're a fan of Mowgli (who isn't?) then the Gujarat-inspired street food at Bundobust will be right up your street. The enormous, critically acclaimed menu is made-up of tiny bowls of veggie goodness cleverly paired with an equally varied menu of craft beers and cocktails. The Manchester branch is always heaving so keep your eyes peeled for this one.

Duke Street Market
Coming: April 2019
And?: That's right, the spate of food markets popping up in Liverpool shows no sign of slowing with an up-market addition set to open on Duke Street in Early April. Owned by the much loved Graffiti Spirits Group, the crowning jewel of this one will be a 60-cover showpiece restaurant that will be home to Pilgrim- a Spanish inspired restaurant chosen on BBC show  'My Million Pound Menu'. There'll also be residencies form the likes of FINCA, Belzan and Cucina di Vincenzo.

Burger Joe
Coming: Late April 2019
And? The infamous Wirral-based burger joint that have been making us drool profusely onto our phones for the last few months (no, just me?) have finally announced they'll be making their debut appearance in Liverpool- in the uber trendy Baltic Triangle area no less. There's a whole-load of insta-worthy burger offerings alongside loaded crinkle fries, mozzarella sticks and milkshakes. I'm excited for this one!

Lane 7
Coming: Easter 2019
And? We don't lack many things in Liverpool but we have been oddly without a bowling alley for some time now. (Prior to that we had the Hollywood Bowl in Edge Lane but even then...). Lane 7 is set to be a super-cool late-night adult version of your childhood favourite game. There are rumours of beer pong, arcade games, a bar and a karaoke booth, too. With the original opening date set to be around Christmas it's looking more like an Easter opening at this rate and it's all going to be tucked away inside Clayton Square shopping centre- intriguing.

Knead Pizza
Coming: March 2019
And? The annual grand re-opening of the Botanical Garden could only have been made better by the presence of one thing- pizza. Knead Pizza are all about the artisan and the interesting and, alongside the classics, they're  dabbling in toppings like smoked salmon, grapes and even Brussels sprouts. Not quite convinced? I'm sure you'll be brave enough to try it once you've had a gin or two.

Know anything else that's opening soon? Let me know!
