A Big Boss Brekkie for The Whitechapel Centre

The 17th-23rd June this year is a pretty special week as it's now officially 'Big Boss Brekkie' week. Personally, I like to indulge in big boss breakfast as much as I can, but this week it's particularly important as it's a fundraising week for

The Whitechapel Centre is the leading homelessness and housing charity for the Liverpool region. They work with people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to find a place to live and they provide support and advice to those who are struggling with independent living.

Last year The Whitechapel Centre served over 25,000 hot breakfasts to their service users and they now need support to help this incredible work continue. For the last three years they have been doing an event called Big Boss Brekkie Week (think of it like an AmnesTea Party or Macmillan Coffee morning, except it’s breakfast!) The point of the event is to raise awareness while also raising funds for their life-saving work to continue.

They want this year to be bigger, better, and more boss than ever! To do this they need our help and it couldn't be easier. Here's what you can do:

1. Post about the Big Boss Brekkie to raise awareness of the event and encourage people to take part and raise money for the Whitechapel Centre.

2. Have your own Big Boss Brekkie with friends, family or work colleagues.

3. Attend a Big Boss Brekkie at one of the fab cafes and restaurants across the city that are taking part this year. So far the places taking part are:

- Siren on Monday 27th- Friday 21st June
-St Paul's Social on Tuesday 18th June
-Love Thy Neighbour on Sunday 23rd June
-Bean There all week from Monday 17th June- Sunday 23rd June

If any more jump on I'll keep you updated and you can find out more about the incredible work the Whitechapel Centre do on their website here.

Have fun!
