Not Going Home Thursday

When Danielle from Neighbourhood got in touch to see if me and some of my girlfriends wanted to come down for some drinks I was, I'll be honest, slightly wary. In my opinion NBHD is for gorgeous young gals who take a bangin' Insta mirror selfie, and sadly...that ain't me. However, with the promise of food and bottomless drinks on offer and some old school pals in Liverpool on that exact night (co-incidence or fate?) we decided to give it a shot and see what the craic was like at one of Castle Street's busiest bars.

Thursday's at NBHD are all about the hashtag #notgoinghome which involves bottomless drinks, small plates and a DJ. What's not to like? Inside the neon-lit haven of a Grade II listed former bank you'll get 90 minutes to drink just about as much as you can. As I'm in my late twenties now that meant not a lot, but everyone else around us was certainly getting their money's worth.

The bottomless bevvies offer doesn't just include prosecco. You can take your pick from single spirits and mixers, beer and the house cocktail which was a fruity little gin number tasting like all the best summer holidays. You don't have to stick to the same thing and the waiters will happily refill you whilst you've still got another on the go, something I know is certainly not the case in other more strict 'bottomless' situations in town at the minute.

The selection of small plates isn't astronomical (I think there are only 4 to choose from) but you'll get two each and a portion of fries included. They're only little, so don't come starving, but they're good enough to nibble away on whilst you dance and drink, our faves were the duck sushi and the popcorn shrimp but the fries were pretty good, too.

Despite accidentally coming out on A-Level results night and having to grin and bear the fact that it had been ten years since ours, we actually had a really good time! The drinks are plentiful, the food might not be mind blowing but it's decent enough and the 90's DJ was fab (bit of Gabrielle, anyone?).

If you fancy your own loud and rowdy Thursday with your mates at Neighbourhood you can find out more and get the info about Not Going Home Thursday on their website here.
